Therapy is a beginning place, not an ending place. So often people talk in terms of “ending up” in therapy over a certain issue, but I see it as a place to begin the journey of becoming who they want and are meant to be.
I want to support my clients in accessing their own voice, strength, and abilities, while providing them with the tools they need to take a stand against the problem and live their life the way they choose, rather than the problem choosing for them. This leads my clients to a life of authenticity. I do this through the use of Narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, somatic work, and art and play therapy. I utilize a great deal of creativity in my work with, children, families, parents, and adults.
I feel it is essential for our work to be collaborative; this way everyone’s knowledge and expertise is heard. When people feel heard and have the opportunity to feel an expertise in their lives they can slow down their process enough to access their strengths and utilize the tools I am offering them.
